Benefits of Creating a Positive Experience

A Conversation with Evelina Shindieva

I do european bridal couture

Yesterday I had the pleasure of sitting down with Evelina Shindieva, owner of Alterations by Roza and I Do European Bridal Couture. Her side-by-side shops are nestled in the cozy location in the SoMa district between busy Downtown Fargo and Island Park.

Over the last few months I've gotten to know Evelina, as she's tailored multiple items from my closet, including two bridesmaid dresses and a variety of pieces which were due for some mend and repair. The thing that stands out to me the most about working with Evelina is her great customer service. She's always been pleasant to me during fittings, pick ups and drop offs. She's even rushed a job for me during busy prom season earlier this spring.

As we got to know each other better, she told me more about her businesses and the importance customer service was to her, especially in her work with bridal. She makes it a goal to create the best experience for anyone who walks into her shop. It was definitely a learning moment for me, as I was also developing my customer relationships with Dak & Co.

At that time my husband and I were learning our way into the world of having a Pop Up boutique, which wasn't easy. To be honest, we continue to learn each day how to better our customer experiences and relationships, because in the end it's not about us, it's about you guys. Our goal is to create fun conversations and great experiences with you in an enjoyable space.

Oh yeah! We Love Those Positive Vibes

We've realized that creating a positive environment not only benefits our customers, it also benefits people in our personal lives. We told ourselves we should make this a reality in all aspects of life.

Good vibes truly make the world go round, and help create a happy environment. It's not rocket science, and it's definitely not about being a people pleaser. It's about being honest, authentic and most importantly kind. It goes back to the golden rule, the one we all know well.

Treat others how you want to be treated.

We all know that it's sometimes easier said than done. Some days it comes easy, and some days it feels like a ton of effort. But it's something we both strive for every day.

Strive For Joy

Choosing to have joy in our lives, and give it to others, so something only we can choose for ourselves. Nobody else in our life can make that choice for us. To me joy can be found in the little things, as well as the big. A few of my favorite simple joyous moments in life are cuddling with my cat, Mr. Binx, enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine with Piet or having a great conversation while on a Sunday afternoon walk.

Remember take time to find joy in yourself and to give joy to others in all aspects of your life. It's not something we turn on and off, it's something we can always be thinking about and growing in our lives.
